Introducing The CHSVet DICOM Platform
Why pay $10,000 or more from other suppliers when you can purchase a cheaper, higher quality and most importantly more reliable PACS Server from CHSVet for only $7,000?
Q. How can we offer you this price when the other companies charge so much more money? Surely theirs must be better due to such a massive price difference?
A. Well actually ours are more reliable and higher quality, BUT we believe in pricing our clients justly, our pricing policy isn't to see how much a client will pay but what is fair.
What is DICOM?
Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) is a standard for handling, storing, printing, and transmitting information in medical imaging. It includes a file format definition and a network communications protocol. A DICOM platform allows you to store and view any DICOM image from digital imaging devices such as CT Scans, MRI's, X ray and Ultrasound. Images are directly accessible from the patient record of CHSVet and stored on a PACS Server.
What is PACS?
PACS stands for Picture Archiving and Communications System, a package of software whereby images are stored and transmitted between a central server and workstations. PACS technology has allowed X-Ray imaging to join the digital age whereby the image can be reviewed utilising one of several screen formats. Images may be edited, manipulated and exported.
A single DICOM file contains both a header (which stores information about the patient's name, the type of scan, image dimensions, etc), as well as all of the image data (which can contain information in three dimensions).
